The deeper parts of the Bell’s collection yields surprises. On a remote shelf in a dark room was The Black Motor Car by Harris Burland, circa 1906. The interior of the book was carved out and replaced with a maroon box marked TAROT. The box contains a complete set of the 1930 Rider-Waite set (identified as the Pam-C variant) of the Tarot plus a small guide book for use with the cards.
