Our Alley Has Come Alive!

Come see re-imagined public spaces this coming weekend in Palo Alto.

The City of Palo Alto is hosting an event designed to “…reframe the City as a laboratory for urban interventions and creative placemaking..,” and we at Bell’s are one of the participants.

The alley to the side of our store will light up with vibrant new art, and there are at least six other areas of participation. For more information, please see below:

A Sidewalk Celebration with Margo Davis!

Our newest window display features the photography of Margo Davis! Margo is a specialist in black-and-white portrait photography, and we are delighted to present her striking images to you. We have copies of three of her books, UNDER ONE SKY, ANTIGUA, and ANTIGUA BLACK, for sale, as well as copies of the two large posters in the window.

Along with the window display, we invite you to join Margo in person at the bookstore on Sunday, September 19, from 2pm to 4pm. This is a special opportunity to meet the photographer and discuss her work. These photographs are best seen in person, so we hope you will stop by to take a look! The window will only be in place for a limited time, and Margo will only be here on Sunday.

(Please note: this gathering will take place outside of the bookstore. Masks are recommended at the gathering and required inside the bookstore. Drinks will not be permitted inside the bookstore. Please help us keep this event safe for everyone.)
